Da MUNCH House: Website & Local Search Case Study
A website built for people nearby and visitors planning a trip, connecting restaurant discovery with the menu, location and a practical next step.
NextGenMillen developed Da MUNCH House’s website around two audiences: people looking for somewhere to eat in Belize, and potential visitors researching from abroad. Early reporting shows search visibility in Belize, the United States and Canada, alongside recorded use of the menu and Google Maps links.
The results below cover the first 86 days of reporting, July 13–October 6, 2026. This is a defined reporting window, not a verified website-launch date or a promise of future results.

Reaching customers in Belize and abroad

The business need
Useful before the trip. Useful on the day.
Da MUNCH House serves breakfast, pizza, coffee, ice cream and other food and drinks in Secret Beach, Ambergris Caye. The website needed to communicate what was available and make planning a visit straightforward.
People already in Belize
Make the menu, location, opening information and contact options easy to find, including on a phone. This audience can include residents and travelers already in the country.
People researching from abroad
Provide enough context for someone exploring Secret Beach before a possible trip: the type of food, the setting and where the restaurant fits into a visit.
These are the audiences the project was designed to support. Country data identifies a recorded search or visit location; it does not confirm nationality, residency or travel plans.
The work
A website organized around discovery and decisions
Restaurant and destination research
Keyword research covered Belize, the United States and Canada. Page planning connected the restaurant’s actual offer with relevant restaurant, menu, breakfast, pizza and Secret Beach searches.
A menu people can browse
A dedicated menu and food-category pages made the information available as website content, with internal links helping visitors move between food options and practical visit details.
Search-focused page structure
The website brought together the homepage, menu, Visit page, food and drink pages, and a Secret Beach dining guide. Titles, headings and links gave each page a clear purpose.
Connections to Google and local listings
Google Maps and Business Profile links, displayed Google reviews and listing outreach supported the wider discovery journey. Outreach also addressed older website references on third-party listings.

Google Search · By country
Local visibility and an international audience
Belize supplied most of the recorded search clicks. The United States and Canada together contributed another 21 clicks and 508 impressions.

Source: Google Search Console, July 13–October 6, 2026 (86 days). Two additional clicks came from Mexico and the Netherlands. The three featured markets accounted for 73 of 75 clicks.
For the case study, the important result is evidence of discovery in both the local market and overseas markets the project was designed to reach. The data supports that reach, without treating every overseas searcher as a confirmed future guest.
Examples of relevant searches
The report recorded 118 impressions and one click for secret beach belize menu, 47 impressions for secret beach belize restaurants, and 28 impressions and one click for secret beach restaurants.
These are selected examples, not the entire query report. An impression is visibility, not a visit, and the supplied query rows do not identify the country of each individual query.
Beyond the search result
The menu was a frequent next step
Matomo adds a different view: what happened on the website after a visit was recorded. Within the same 86-day reporting window, 235 of 410 screened visits included the menu page, with 304 menu-page views in total.
Source: supplied Matomo visit export, restricted to July 13–October 6, 2026 (86 days). Twenty visits containing staging, preview, editor or hosting-control-panel signals were excluded from 430 recorded visits, leaving 410 for analysis. These are not verified unique customers.
| Recorded country | Visits | Visits viewing the menu |
|---|---|---|
| Belize | 170 | 109 |
| United States | 143 | 91 |
| Canada | 73 | 31 |
122 menu-viewing visits were recorded in the United States and Canada combined. That is a concrete signal of interest in the food offer from outside Belize, although the records do not establish whether those people later traveled or ate at the restaurant.
The visit, menu and Maps measures can overlap. They should not be added together as separate people or restaurant visits. Search Console and Matomo use the same calendar-date labels here but remain separate measurement systems.
Google Business Profile and Maps
Connecting online discovery with an in-person destination
The website puts the restaurant’s menu, visitor information, Google reviews and Google Maps links in one accessible journey. The Business Profile and Maps listing remain important places for people to check the business and locate it.
In the screened Matomo data, 11 visits included both the menu page and an outbound Maps link click. This shows the website supporting two practical tasks in the same visit, without claiming a confirmed journey to the restaurant.
Measurement boundary: the country results above come from Search Console, and the outbound link activity comes from Matomo. They are not Business Profile performance statistics. GBP views, call clicks and directions requests are not quantified in this case study.
Beyond the website
Listing outreach and updated website references
NGM supported outreach for restaurant listings and website links, including requests to update older www references to the current website address. This work included correcting existing listings, rather than treating every updated link as a newly earned placement.
The supplied backlink review showed local and travel-related listings including RE/MAX Belize Secret Beach, Affordable Belize Real Estate, Belize Real Estate Map and Mindtrip.
Source: selected listings visible in the supplied Ahrefs screenshot, October 9, 2026. Mindtrip still showed an older www target in that snapshot. The listings are examples from the review, not a verified total of links newly acquired by NGM. No referral traffic or sales are attributed to these links here.
An additional visibility signal
Appearances in Google’s generative AI search features
The separate Search Console Generative AI Features export recorded 92 impressions: 49 in Belize, 27 in the United States, seven in Canada and nine elsewhere.
These are appearances, not clicks or inquiries. They are included within the overall search reporting, not added to the 3,139 impressions above. The export does not identify which individual appearances came from AI Overviews versus AI Mode.

Sources and reporting periods
The website search and activity metrics shown here cover the first 86 reporting days, July 13–October 6, 2026, inclusive. The supplied Search Console exports are dated October 9 and the Matomo visit export extends through October 10, but Matomo results on this page were restricted to the same 86 calendar dates. The backlink screenshot is dated October 9 and is presented separately as supporting project evidence. Reporting Day 1 is not an independently verified launch date.
Search Console
Totals come from the daily chart. Country and device breakdowns are reported separately. Page-level totals can differ from property totals, so they are not added to the headline measures. The period has no comparable pre-project baseline and does not isolate the effect of any one change.
Matomo screening
The full export contains 453 visit records through October 10. Of those, 430 fall within the 86-day reporting window. A conservative screen removed 20 visits containing staging-hostname activity, WordPress preview/customizer activity, an admin URL/referrer, or a hosting-control-panel referrer. The retained set contains 410 visits and 889 page views.
This screen removes identifiable development-related activity; it does not establish that every retained visit is an independent customer. Further staff, owner, vendor, automated or repeat activity may remain. Country labels are recorded locations, not verified residence or travel intent.
Actions, not confirmed sales
A menu view, a Visit-page view and a Maps-link click are different actions and can happen in the same visit. No completed calls, restaurant arrivals, attributable sales or return on investment are claimed. Business Profile performance data was not part of the supplied evidence.
A practical foundation for growth
Make your business easier to find and easier to understand
Da MUNCH House’s early results show why a website needs both discovery and useful information after the click. The next step for your business may be a new site, a focused refresh or ongoing content and search improvements.
